In the Philippines, Family Week is observed during the last week of September, recognising the importance of strengthening Filipino families and family relationships. The observance was established through Presidential Proclamation No. 60 in 1992.

The United Nations’ 2026 International Day of Families theme, “Families, Inequalities and Child Well-being,” focuses on how access to opportunities, services, and support can affect family life and children’s wellbeing.
