Celebrating our most Precious Asset – Our Children
From the moment they come into our lives, until we are old and grey, we love, treasure and adore our children. Sure, there are many times during their lives that they drive us mad, and we spend many hours worrying about their education, behaviour and relationships, but at the end of the day, they are our most precious asset and greatest achievement.
November is a time to celebrate our children, with National Children’ Month, which aims to recognise children as the most valuable asset of the nation, and to highlight the importance of a child’s role within Filipino families and society as a whole. It is a time to take a closer look at issues that affect our children, and to advocate for their rights to development, education, protection and survival.
National Children’s Month has a number of themes each week.
Week 1, Survival Rights – The first 1000 days of a child’s life, survival of the child, and protecting them with immunisations. This week also focuses on child and adolescent mental health.
Week 2, Development Rights – Education that is inclusive of everyone, and safety in the online world.
Week 3, Participation Rights – A child’s right to be heard, and a child’s right to play.
Week 4, Protection Rights – Protecting and removing children in war zones, eradicating child labor, positive parenting in a non-violent way.
Sadly, there are some people who would dearly love to be a parent to a child, but cannot, as they are not sure about the paternity of the child. There is a simple way to ascertain the paternity of an infant or child, and EasyDNA Philippines is here to help. The Home Paternity Test and the Legal Paternity Test are both fast, provide accurate results, and can put your on the road to providing a child with all of the love and guidance that you can. These tests can also be beneficial in cases of adopted children.
Many adopted children grow up needing to find their biological or “birth” parents and a DNA test can be the final step in locating an absent father. The test results can provide peace of mind to anyone living with doubt or questions. The same would also apply to parents wishing to locate a child they had put up for adoption. Imagine being safe in the knowledge that a child was biologically yours, it would be such a relief to know for sure that you were the father.
Let’s look after our greatest treasures!
